Panama City Beach, Florida

Each summer, a group of high school students and adults packs up and heads south for Panama City Beach.  During our stay, we lodge in the Laguna Beach Christian Retreat Center.  Here a group has, over the years, been buying up motels and small resorts along the beach to form an amazing place for Christians to get away from their home surroundings for a retreat or to bed down while doing missions in the area. 

Packing our materials from our summer children's camp here in Walhalla, our days in Panama City begin with a morning Bible School held at two locals churches where members are trying desperately to form strong children's programs.  Both locations are surrounded by homes filled with families in need of people to show their children God's love.  This trip is so successful in both teaching young kids about our Savior and helping our high schoolers grow closer to God.  The remainder of our days is filled with afternoons of sun & fun and crazy group activities.  We complete our very full days with an evening of powerful worship and Bible study.

PC 2010 Missions - What a Trip!  54 brave RKBC students and leaders departed July 17th for our mission work in Panama City Beach, Florida area.  The week started fast with each mission team worshiping on Sunday with their respective church and then hosting a "block" party that afternoon to get the local community excited about the High Seas Adventure VBS starting on Monday.  Each team did an outstanding job in decorating, setting up and creating the best possible atmosphere possible for the kids of Westview Baptist and North Bay Baptist churches.  The most exciting thing was to see how our kids went the extra mile to develop relationships and spend personal time with each kid that came to VBS.  What a great group of young missionaries! I can't say enough about the wonderful adult volunteers and staff we have at RKBC.  You guys are the best! Thanks to all who participated and made this year PC 2010 Missions the best ever!
